Department visits

Departments and graduate programs may also host campus visit days (On-Campus Graduate Program Specific Recruitment Events)and individual student visits. Contact your department’s Graduate Coordinator for more information and to schedule a visit.


  • Schedule a campus tour through the UGA Visitors Center
  • Take a guided bus tour with the Athens Heritage Tour or Museum Mile Tour, or schedule a customized tour tailored to your specific interests. Sight see at your own pace with one of six self-guided tours.

Accepted Students Day

For June 12, 2019,


Accepted Students Day is held twice each spring for students who have been accepted into a UGA graduate program. This event is designed to provide an introduction to graduate studies at UGA, timely and important information about university resources from campus representatives, and an overview of steps to take to ensure a worry-free transition into your studies here at UGA. Topics covered include:

  • Adjustment to graduate studies
  • Funding your graduate education
  • Housing options
  • The City of Athens

This event also includes graduate student panel, lunch, and pre-arrival and post-arrival “To-Do” checklists.

Fall Campus Visit

The Fall Campus Visit Day provides an overview of graduate education at the University of Georgia. Topics include information about:

  • Academic programs
  • Admissions
  • Funding
  • The City of Athens

This event includes a campus tour, student panel, luncheon with members of the UGA community, and opportunities to speak with Graduate School representatives. This event is for juniors, seniors, and professionals with a 3.0/4.0 or higher undergraduate GPA.

Preparing for Graduate School Workshop
